SCAM ALERT FOR GRAETTINGER RESIDENTS

We have been notified that a scammer is calling residents and claiming to be from Bank Plus. Please remember: legitimate banks will NEVER ask for personal information over the phone, including account numbers, Social Security numbrs, passwords, or verification codes.
If you recieve a call like this, hang up immediately.
What to do if you're contacted by a scammer:
- Do NOT give out personal or financial information
- Do NOT confirm your identity, even if they already have some of your details.
- write down the phone number if possible.
- Contact Bank Plus directly using the number on your bank statement or their official website.
- Report the call to the Palo Alto County Sheriff Office, if you feel threatened or unsure.
Staying alert protects not only you, but our whole community. Please share this information with friends, family, and neighbors- especially those who may be more vulnerable to these types of scams.
